Globalfish holds all personal information received from Site Users in strict confidence, and with complete integrity for security and privacy to the fullest extent provided in our User Agreement.

While Globalfish collects registration information and maintains records of all transactions, we understand the importance of protecting the privacy of our Users.

We pledge and agree that no information specifically identified to registered Users of the Site will be sold, traded, disclosed, or shared with any third party, including advertisers, organizations, or other Users, without prior agreement from Users. The following exceptions apply in specific situations:

• Information necessary to reveal to other Users when they trade with each other or propose to enter into a trade by submitting a Bid or Counter in accordance with the normal operations of the Site. In this regard, the party initiating a Posting will have access to the basic User Profile of a bidding party and may reveal its own User Profile to bidders. (See Site Policies);
• Information that the terms of an administrative order, court order, subpoena or governmental regulation requires us to disclose, that we in good faith determine is legally required to be revealed, or that law enforcement authorities request us to disclose in connection with their investigations, providing that notification of this release of information is simultaneously provided to the User;
• Information revealed during the course of our enforcement of the User Agreement, the Site Policies, or during the course of any disciplinary actions with respect to a User;
• Publicly available information about a User obtained by Globalfish other than through the Web site;
• Information that we in good faith determine must be disclosed to correct what we believe to be false or misleading information or to address activities that we believe to be manipulative or deceptive.

Globalfish may publicly reference the names of its Users using one or more of Globalfish's trading platforms or services. In addition, Globalfish will internally and externally publish information about activity on the Site, using aggregated trading information that does not include the identities of Users that are parties to the transactions, and does not give any statement or indication from which the User may be identified. Our User Agreement also describes Globalfish Proprietary Properties (including Other Site Information and User Information) that Globalfish owns and shall be entitled to use.

When a User registers for the Site, Globalfish automatically captures the IP address and host name (if available) of the User's originating server. The IP address identifies the computer a User is working on, but does not reveal any personal information about the User. This information helps Globalfish to diagnose problems with our server. It also allows directed improvements to the Site by gathering broad, non-attributed demographic information about general patterns of User use of the web site.

This Web site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. These include firewall protection, password encryption, and restricted Server access. Such measures may not prevent loss, misuse or alteration of information in all cases. We urge Users and Users to exercise caution and due care while using our site.

The Site uses a cookie file as a convenience and time-saver for single-user computer access. When multiple users use the same computer, cookies should be disabled in the browser (see browser preferences or options). When cookies are disabled, users will need to log in each time.

Any User or User of the Site may cancel and terminate its license to participate on the Site at any time by sending an email to globalfish@globalfish.net and in the subject line write "cancel." The consequences of, and a User's obligations after cancellation and termination are set out in our User Agreement.
